Shelf unit, you paint like me? Shocked I'm working at painting some goblins that I've had since the start of 4th ed. Warhammer so that I'll have a couple of fully painted armies to do demos with. Confused I have 4 40k armies of which 1 is almost fully painted and 6 armies for AoA of which 1 is almost fully painted. I've got 2 or three units painted out of all the other armies but not more than about 2,000 points for each.

Flay, we're planning on doing a command squad and 3 ordinary troops for each unit in the wolfen list, so 6 minis minimum for each unit. It'll take more than a year to get everything finished. The sculptor I've contracted is in Australia and has won Golden Demons there.

RT, I always try to finish what I start. I'm stubborn and don't like letting go. But this project has been going pretty well. I'm not the one doing the real work Razz I've tried sculpting myself. I can do decent small conversions but my full figures look something similar to Gumby.

One sentence said it all Zink.
I couldn't agree more with the sentiment and drive behind the words.
It's always better to 'take the time' , chase the quality, because the quality will sell over time and continue to do so, this is not a get rich quick industry and you find that those projects that are rushed and fail to cross the quality control threshold through errors in R+D (playtesting etc.) and production, they stumble to a quick halt shortly after release.

Examples; the third gamette for Man o War along with the third Gamette for Space Hulk, both rushed out and not very well thought out, they lacked continuity with the previous expansions.
There are also some little known games that have been truly great entities unto themselves over the last 25 years but they have been poorly managed or branded and that has really hurt them.
On the miniatures front it's easy to point at model companies like Gamezone, Heresy, Tom Meier and Avatars of War as small companies that will continue to sell through the sheer quality of their products.
Slower to release but much greater likelihood of continuing to sell over time.

I'll release units for sale as they become available so it shouldn't be a year before you can get ahold of some. But the overall project is long term. I'm very impressed with Pete's work and have no intentions of rushing him. As long as he's able to turn out good looking minis as quickly as he can that's all that matters to me.

Quite the ticket.
Be sure to get a handful of options on your plate before you go public with them.
That will help catch the attention of the target demographic.
Anything worth waiting for should most definitely have some kind of fanfare when it is released.
Lest it hide it's wondrous light under a bushel and it's magic become little more than a damp squib.
From the look of them those models are worth a fanfare.

Their looking ace Cowboy Cool

If I had any cash I'd be supporting ya Zinky, as it happens I can only spread the word on various forums.

Will you be selling them via a website?

At the moment I don't have a website. I'm looking into it and into having other people cast them for me under license. I won't be doing my own casting. I'm not worried about getting full scale production going yet but I will probably let some of the people who have helped me or shown interest in them buy some as soon as possible. It'll help offset the costs of the sculptor and setting up for bigger runs.

I'll do that. Once I know how many models we can get into a mould I'll know what size of unit packages I can offer. I plan on selling a unit package with command and offering individual models too. That way people can get the exact number of figures they want easily.

Yeah... Rackham do great Wolfen but they don't really do Archers which leaves a big gaping hole in the list that you can fill nicely Zink...

Actually i've bought the dark wolfen (devourers of vile-tis)archers but only a group of 5 or so as they are used as infiltrating hunters with bows.

I'll post the list sometime.

These archers are going to be the basis of a base 1 wolfen army that i will be building to use when my base 4 army gets veto'd. Very Happy

What chaos list. It'll be year or so till they see the field mate. Gotta build a hundred or so and become considerably better painter.
