Chaps,

I am intending to do some work on this over my Christmas holidays. Any result will be posted for comment and discussion both here and on the other forum.

There is a sticky in the general discussion page on the other forum.

Only registered users can see links on this forum!

It would be most convinient if any points you think should be looked at and included could be added there, but for those not so inclined please do add your thoughts to this thread.

All comments mucho appreciated!!

Cheers
Warren

wasnt 5th edition meant to include all the faq? I'm just messin' with ya Warren.

You may be flogging something of a dead horse around here though. Many of the people here are banned from rajs and im not too sure how many even play AoA anymore. It seems to have died a death a bit with many.
Good luck though

Really? Shame, its still a great system! That Derby tournament got me all fired up again. I thought you guys were looking at a big demo game for Salute next year? Was going to offer my High Elf army - thought we could set it up as a seige scenario, with a releif force (say High Elves) attacking the besieging lines while similtaneously the starving besieged pour out of the gates - think seige of minas tirith in return of the King. My best painted figures are the high elves by far, then probably my dwarves & halflings, who could easily form part of the forces in the castle. Can contribute plenty of chaos for the evil besiegers too.

Anyway, i know some of you can't post over there which is why i posted here as well. Speak now on errata and FAQ's, or forever hold you peace!! Well, not quite - i'll post a discussion draft of the result here so you can all add in your 2 penny's then, but it would be great to identify all the areas people want clarified now rather than later!

Nick, want to catch up for a game at mine over xmas if you are around? Getting the 15mm's out, have ordered a whole lot of wolves/griffins/manticores from LoneGunman so i can test my 15mm AoA variant out with fantasy creatures and magic included. I'm off work & avaliable from 21 dec through 3 Jan.

Not want to hijack you thread Wozza, but, although I'm not banned from Raj's forum, he has been VERY rude and even offensive to me, so I just quit posting on that forum.

And I know I'm not the only one.

So, unless you post a transcription of all the proposed FAQ and clarifications HERE, I guess there will be very little response.

Best wishes.

I'm keen and so is Sukhe Bator.
You are most welcome to join us if you wish.
I can get the table organised (because I'm a 'warlord' Cool ) and I need to do that soon as well.
I can carry Sukhe's castle in my van as well as a variety of other stuff like terrain and armies etc.
I can supply a lot of painted models and yes, I'm still keen on Arcana as a system, still keen to play and chat about it... almost endlessly.
Embarassed

I'm also keen to have a crack at what Elvenblade and Sven have been cooking up in the back garden shed... but thats another matter...

Siege was already on the cards so all good on the siege front. Cool

Are/were they Kents? If so, thats a nice looking army.

Do you mean the moonshine? Cool Probably not

Initiative/unit acitvation done
Combat mechnism done
Missile mechanism done
Morale mechanism done
Cavalry done
Long weapons done
Magic principles done but not the detail

To do
Other specials - bezerkers etc
Heroes (not much different to other units just beefed up a little bit)
Write up some example army lists
come up with a points formula for those that like them
Continue testing the unit attributes and modifiers to ensutre the kill rates/morale checks etc are where we want them to be.
Collate all the scraps of paper into one legible document Embarassed
Find some time in our lives to do all the above.

Here's a minor quibble for any Erratum, regarding Chaos magic and stuff going berserk!

I have a unit of warrior monks falling back, they have had mark of chaos cast on them.

An enemy unit is within 6 inches of said unit in the end phase - so no chance to regroup.

Next turn begins, they fall back again, the enemy unit stays within 6 inches in its movement phase. The monks roll on the mark of chaos chart at the beginning of the magic phase...they roll a 4 - BERSERK!

Now counting as fearless, do they automatically regroup?
